Dark Horse Company is a graphic design, website design and advertising company founded in 2005 by Jean McAllister. We work, live and play in the Rocky Mountains in Canmore, Alberta, Canada.

Jean has over 20 years of experience working as a graphic designer, website designer, art director and creative director on local, national and international accounts – her work has won several awards in both print and digital media.

Jean holds a B.A. with a major in Visual Communications and graduated with distinction from the Alberta College of Art and Design. She returned to teach third-year Information Design at the college for three terms. For 10 years she was a member of the Canadian National Cross Country Ski Team and skied in the 1988 Olympics. She was on the Canadian National Mountain Bike Team in 1990 and competed in the first ever World Mountain Bike Championships.
