The re-design of Parks Canada's hiking brochures and maps was based on an in-depth assessment of the media produced for the mountain parks. For the assessment, we worked with Rightline Consulting and produced a 60-page document and presentations that examined the effectiveness of Parks Canada's printed materials, websites, kiosks and trail signage.
We created new brochures that are consistent between all the mountain parks. The new designs are more inviting, informative and user friendly – with 3D looking satellite maps and the introduction of trail difficulty ratings. All materials were produced in both French and English.
